Foods to Avoid:

  • Processed foods (i.e., think: hot dogs), packaged foods, foods of unknown origin or with HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), MSG (mono-sodium glutamate), or artificial ingredients

  • GMO foods (foods of genetically modified origin), commonly corn, soy, and wheat

  • Bad fats (e.g., corn, soy, canola, margarine)

  • White (empty) foods: Flours including wheat, rice, potato, tapioca; vegetable starches including white rice and white potatoes

  • Sugars including white, brown, agave, honey and artificial sweeteners including Splenda, aspartame, and saccharine

  • Fried foods, including roasted nuts which are highly acidic

  • Alcohol and other sugar-laden drinks, including fruit juices

Foods to Eat:

  • Whole, real foods (i.e., eggs, fresh meat, fruits, and vegetables), raw nuts and cashews, or foods made with pure, whole ingredients

  • Non-GMO foods

  • Good fats (olive oil, butter, coconut oil)

  • High-protein, low carb flours including almond flour, flax seed meal, coconut flour, oat flour, and cocoa

  • Natural sweeteners including stevia, xylitol, and erythritol
